We need your help.
Kitty Whispers Haven, Inc. is a small rescue with a big heart, and we have no paid staff and no shelter building. Every cat we save is fed, vetted, and loved inside a volunteer's home. That means the number of older, abandoned, and injured angels we can rescue depends entirely on how many people step forward.
Your help can make our dream a reality.
Volunteer
We rely on volunteers for adoption events, cleaning, laundry, supply runs, admin work and everything in between. It is not always glorious work, but it is life-saving work. By giving a few hours you help keep a safe, clean, loving space for cats who have nowhere else to go.
We primarily need help with:
- Feeding, cleaning and socializing cats in our foster homes
- Transporting cats to and from vet appointments and adoption events
- Photography, social media and newsletter help
- Fundraising, raffles and community outreach
- Checking in on elderly neighbors and their companion cats
Students: volunteer hours can be applied toward community service requirements.
Foster
Fosters are the lifeblood of our rescue. They give a cat a temporary home, day-to-day care, vet visits, socializing and lots of snuggles until the right family comes along. We have no physical shelter, so we depend one hundred percent on fosters.
We need fosters. Period. And if you can care for a senior or special-needs cat, even better — cats recovering from surgery, on daily medication, or learning to trust again need you most.
- We cover food, litter and all approved veterinary care
- You provide a safe indoor space, patience and love
- Fosters must be 21 or older
- Foster as briefly as a few weeks or as long as you're able
Adopt
Adult and senior cats are the last to be chosen and the first to be overlooked. They are also calm, grateful, and already the cat they're going to be — no guessing. When you adopt one of our angels, you also open a foster spot for the next cat who needs saving.
Partner with us
Businesses and community partners help us reach the next level through generosity, expertise and creativity. We are currently looking for:
- Corporate giving — matching gifts, Dollars for Doers, and annual giving
- Supply donations — wet food, litter, beds, scratchers, carriers and cleaning supplies
- Pro bono services — veterinary wellness checks, marketing, photography, or any idea you bring us
- Monetary donations — every dollar goes directly to food, litter and vet care
- Transportation help — rides to vet appointments, supply pickups and rescue transport
- Catios and enclosures — donate or help build safe outdoor spaces for our cats
- Awareness partnerships — host a donation bin, a raffle basket, or an adoption event
